ou mustn’t be fooled by the word “discount” because discount Diamonds are not necessarily cheap, as the name would suggest. There are a growing number of companies that are offering a large selection of discount diamonds and diamond jewelry in general, that are comparable to jewelry of a far higher price.
There could be a number of reasons why a retailer is able to offer diamonds at a discount. The internet enables them to offer better prices to their customers due to low overhead costs. They don’t have to pay expensive rents or maintenance costs to keep their retail store. There will probably be far less staff overheads and their advertising budget goes a lot further on the internet. The internet not only opens up a whole new market for you, it does this also for the retailer who is now able to access wholesalers worldwide at the click of a mouse. This all means increased competition for the retailers, which also lowers their prices. This in turn is great for you as the consumer. You can shop around far easier these days and find exactly what you are looking for at a great price without simply buying over the odds from the first shop you come to.
Keep in mind however that, as always, there is another side to the coin. Sometimes discount diamonds and jewelry is discounted because it is of an inferior quality.
Always compare the diamonds you look at using the four Cs and get that fifth C when you need to. Put into practice what you have learnt from this ebook about the four Cs, the little tricks some jewelers will try to play on the unsuspecting client and how to spot fakes or inferior stones. When you’re shopping and you see the word “Discounted” don’t simply click onto the next website or ask the jeweler to see something different. You now know retailers are able to legitimately offer diamonds at true discounted prices and you also have the knowledge to arm yourself against what are genuinely inferior quality. You can shop with confidence.
