Diamond Rings For Men

What kind of a man wears a diamond? In days gone by, if a man wore a ring it would traditionally be a simply plain gold band. But that was in “days gone by”! Men

would never have dreamed of using moisturiser or hair products either (other than a bit of Brylcream) but these days, men’s jewelry and cosmetics are big business. A huge jewelry selection is no longer the preserve of the lady and increasingly men are choosing diamond wedding rings, engagement rings and anniversary bands instead of the simple plain gold band. Now, not every man is gong to want to wear a diamond ring but it is a hot and growing trend, so if they do, the choice is there. It is probably never going to be as wide as that for the lady but if the man decides that’s the way he’d like to go and be a bit different, he’s got a few choices to make.

Before you start thinking that if a man wants to wear a diamond wedding ring he must be very attuned with his feminine side, you’d be surprised! There really isn’t any particular pattern or stereotype anymore when it comes to a man wearing a diamond ring. These days you’ll see old, young, regular and also the well off guys wearing diamond rings. I think it just boils down to the fact that these days, men are a lot more confident and they can simply choose what they actually like as opposed to having to wear what is expected of them. Like a lot of other things in modern everyday life, people are far more broadminded and tolerant of things that used to be
looked on as being slightly strange. Besides, some people just like to enhance their personality, be different and stand out. After all, we all like to be a little unique and individual.

So, if you’re a man reading this and thinking you’d quite like to look into the idea a little more, here are a few tips.

Men’s Diamond Bands, whether for engagement, wedding or anniversary, will come in the traditional gold, platinum, white gold, silver and even titanium. Try an example of each one as the color of your skin can determine which will look best on you. The
size of your hand is also important. Should you have a smaller hand you would be better off looking at wider bands, this will help make the hand look bigger and more masculine. Don’t buy a small skinny band, it will only accentuate the smallness of the hand.

Consider whether you would like a big setting and be more extravagant, have people notice your diamond ring or whether you’d prefer a slightly more subtle approach with a smaller simpler diamond setting. The most popular setting styles with men tend to be the Channel and Bezel set top. See the section on “Ring Settings”.

One good thing about men’s diamond rings is that they will generally cost a lot less than the lady’s equivalent. And you know what that means? Yep, you can spend more money on the lady’s version!

Bottom line when thinking of buying a men’s diamond ring is make sure you like it, especially of you’ve chosen of slightly more extravagant look. You are also going to be wearing it everyday, make sure it is comfortable and you don’t feel too self-
conscious about wearing it.
