The jeweler

Let’s start with the jeweler.

Try to find a jeweler who isn’t employing hard sell tactics. They should treat you in a friendly, courteous manner. Not too overpowering, not too “in your face”. Buying a diamond is a big commitment and it’s only right that you need to feel comfortable with the person to whom you’re potentially going to be giving a lot of money.

Another option, once you have read this ebook and are armed with your new found knowledge, is that you could simply visit the jewelers in your local area to view the different types of stones, rings etc available and ask them questions. Ask to try some rings on and find the type of cut, setting etc that you like and then source it on the internet.

There are links to on-line jewelers contained in this ebook for you. After all, the jewelers you visit don’t need to know you’re not going to ultimately buy from them. Surely it’s only natural that you would do your research before you decide to buy!

You may find a small independent jeweler more willing to provide you with genuine, unbiased advice.
